I dare you to find any restaurant without any violations. And the ones that don't are lining someone's pockets.

Even if you scrub the entire place down twice a day there are still going to be critters, they are crawling everywhere underneath every city, it's just how nature works.

I would be more concerned with the place being busy and the refridgerators being cold, to be sure you're eating fresh food.

thanks jay! you got a google alert set up or what? :D

i just added a link to lady ada's kit. it wasn't so much that it sounded good or bad, it just went quickly up to a really high frequency. this happened for pretty much everybody at the workshop. that's why i was thinking it was maybe the board. i think i'm going to get another kit to try out at home.

hey glad you liked soldering drawdios. some tips for getting it to work better. first of all, the default speaker is a little small so can only sound good up to a certain point. maybe a speaker that's just a little bigger will sound better. then try these tips
http://web.media.mit.edu/~silver/drawdio/start_drawdio-ing.jpg
hope that helps. if you have other questions or ideas let me know. nice writeup

Matt,

Great round up. I'm sure that it must have taken months, if not years, of extensive eating, er research...

Also, great comment by Holly. "Carman will hunt you down." Priceless.

Matt,

I like you so I need to tell you that your life is in danger. Never, I repeat never, use the term "South Philly Authenticity" in a review of Carman's Country Kitchen. Carman will hunt you down. You will end up swimming with the Schukyll River catfish.

Nothing wrong with South Philly authenticity. I like South Philly authenticity. But Carman strives to provide an oasis away from South Philly authenticity within the land that is South Philly.

Carman's is all about Carman and nothing about South Philly other than the inconvenience of geography.

Next Saturday or Sunday, call in the morning for a same day reservation. Eating there is the only way to understand Carman's Country Kitchen.

Nice sketch of an enjoyable bistro. Caribou is bound to make anything remotely French seem like divine inspiration.
